Favorite workout and why?
“Since I can only pick one, I choose Docklands. I love that the first set gives you 60 seconds to really challenge yourself and mentally push through when it gets nearly unbearable. I also love the short rest breaks between the final two sets. It moves so quickly that it’s fun to try to keep up!”
Where are you from?
“I’m from Dayton, Ohio. I moved to Louisville in 2015 from Ann Arbor, Michigan.”
Fun fact about you?
“I was a gymnast, acrobat, and cheerleader when I was growing up.”
“Oh my goodness. It is so tough to pick one. I love roasted cauliflower and Brussels sprouts. Louvino has the best Brussels sprouts in Louisville. I don’t often go a day without vanilla Greek yogurt and cottage cheese…mixed together. For all of you with a horrified look on your face, try it and report back to me. (: If we’re talking dessert, I could (and nearly do) eat ice cream every day. Cookies ‘n cream and Ben & Jerry’s Half Baked are my favorites.”
What’s your favorite hobby outside of F45?
“I love to run! I found a love for running in college and it’s stuck with me ever since. It’s a mental and physical sport, and you can do it nearly anywhere. I’m also certain that God meets me on my runs. It’s a spiritual time for me. Running outside can make so many hard times more tolerable. I’m a homebody too, so spending time with my family, husband and dogs is often where you’ll find me.”
What does F45 mean to you?
Aside from being team training, life-changing? F45 means being part of a community that will support and challenge you every day if you stay open and committed. It means showing up, giving and receiving accountability, and overcoming fears and old ideas of your physical self. It’s a place where people of all levels of fitness can improve their health and find genuine camaraderie.
